GILLEN YACHT SERVICES INTRODUCES GENERAL MANAGER AND BUSINESS PARTNER, RALPH HALL.

Dave Gillen Sr, President of Gillen Yacht Services, Inc is pleased to announce the appointment of Ralph O. Hall, who will be joining the Executive Team as a partner and General Manager. Ralph brings more than 25 years’ experience in managing full-service yacht repairs and maintenance. He joins the GYS team from Georgetown Yacht Basin, one of the largest full-service repair yards and marina on the Chesapeake Bay which until recently his family has owned and operated since 1949. Growing up in the family business, Ralph learned firsthand all aspects of the yachting industry.

While with Georgetown Yacht Basin, he worked through each position where he gained a comprehensive understanding of every aspect of yacht repair. Most recently, Ralph served as President where he was responsible for the day to day operations for yacht service and the marina while cultivating strategic relationships for dealerships and partners.

Ralph attended the Pennco Tech Marine Program where he specialized in all aspects of yacht repair and service. He has served on the ABYC Standards Review Board and is a current member of the American Boat Builders & Repairers Association. Ralph is also an instrument-rated private pilot.

As General Manager for GYS, Ralph will bring his expertise for further development of dealer relationships which will enhance the company’s ability to service its’ customers. David Gillen SR said, “After months of meetings, Ralph and I realized that we shared a common vision and philosophy on all aspects of the business, especially as it relates to the customer experience.”

Dave and Ralph will jointly share the day to day operations of the company as we continue to develop and enhance the company’s full-service operations. We are open and operating – so as soon as you leave your quarantine – stop by our offices and meet Ralph. We are looking forward to seeing you and talking about our favorite subject….. your boat!
